Prof. Massoud Vosough to Join ICBME 2026 as a Keynote Speaker
Prof. Massoud Vosough, head of the Regenerative Medicine Department at Royan Institute and a prominent researcher in stem cell science and regenerative medicine, will participate as one of the keynote speakers at the 33rd Iranian Conference on Biomedical Engineering (ICBME 2026).
We are pleased to announce that Prof. Massoud Vosough, Head of the Regenerative Medicine Department at Royan Institute, will join ICBME 2026 as one of the conference’s scientific speakers.
Prof. Vosough received his M.D. from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and his Ph.D. in Medical Biotechnology from Pasteur Institute of Iran. His doctoral research at Royan Institute focused on the large-scale production of hepatocyte-like cells derived from embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells using bioreactor systems.
From 2013 to 2016, he completed two consecutive postdoctoral fellowships at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and contributed to the EU-funded HUMAN project, along with several research projects in the field of regenerative medicine. His main research interests include liver and gastrointestinal diseases, stem cell applications, and the development of regenerative approaches for chronic and degenerative disorders.
Prof. Vosough was recognized as a national top researcher in medical sciences in 2025 and was also listed among the world’s top 2% researchers in the 2026 ranking. His presence at ICBME 2026 will provide a valuable opportunity for researchers, specialists, and students interested in stem cell science, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine to become familiar with recent advances and emerging research directions in these fields.
