We are honored to announce that Professor Seda Nur Topkaya Çetin, Professor of Analytical Chemistry at Dokuz Eylül University and Principal Investigator at the Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center, will join ICBME 2026 as a keynote speaker.
Professor Topkaya Çetin is a distinguished researcher in electrochemical biosensors, nanomaterials, plasmonic sensing systems, and portable diagnostic platforms. Her research focuses on pathogen detection, rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing, disease biomarker analysis, and biomedical and clinical applications of biosensors. She has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific papers and received the 2025 TÜBA-GEBİP Outstanding Young Scientists Award from the Turkish Academy of Sciences. The title of her keynote speech is “Advances in Biosensors for Biomedical and Point-of-Care Applications.” In this lecture, Professor Topkaya Çetin will discuss recent advances in electrochemical biosensors for the detection of disease biomarkers, nucleic acids, pathogenic microorganisms, and antibiotic susceptibility. She will also explore the role of nanomaterials, electrode surface modification, molecular recognition strategies, and portable electrochemical systems in developing rapid, cost-effective, and practical diagnostic platforms.
